Floor arrangement before installation

1. Cure and dry the concrete cement of the floor in a way that its water content is below 5%. Ensure that paint, oil, grease, asphalt, and other adhesives are completely removed.
2. Considering that any crack, irregularity, or impurity on the floor will directly influence the product, the floor should be kept flat by using leveling devices.

1. If the space is not to be heated

– After installation, the space will not be heated.
After installation, to prevent any drastic change in temperature, a vinyl cover should be installed indoors to maintain the temperature measured at the time of installation (inhibition of contraction).
– Installation should be avoided when the space is highly humid and the indoor temperature is below 13°C

2. If the space can be heated

– Required to keep the temperature at room temperature (18℃) by starting heating 1 day earlier and then up to 3 hours before the installation.

3. The products to be used need to be shipped to the location at least 1 day earlier to go well with the indoor temperature.

– When heating can be provided, it is required to stop the boiler at least 3 hours earlier before the installation.
– A designated commercial adhesive produced by LG Chemical must be used.

Kinds	Coverage
PU oil based adhesive	- New construction site in winter - Places with humidity such as restaurants, underground sites, etc.
Acrylic water-based adhesive	- Where the floor humidity of the new building is less than 5% - Existing renovation site

– Considering that the adhesive will influence the adhesion strength, the user must follow the standard spread volume(1.2–1.5 kg/pyeong).
– Do not attach the products 50 minutes after applying the adhesive as it would have dried up and hardened
(adhesive lifetime: 10–50 minutes)
– To ensure that products are attached completely, use a 50-kg or heavier roller after the installation.

1. Positioning: Where to install the mosaic materials?
2. Centerline: Take the mosaic material as the reference centerline
3. Same as the method for the installation of floorings
4. Remove the special tape and the protective film on the mosaic materials (clean the surface using alcohol if contaminated)

– When completing installation and attachment using an adhesive, users must apply protectors to take in materials for interior work. In case of overlapped sections, tape should be used to seal it to prevent people from slipping when walking over it
– After completing installation, it is required to operate the boiler for at least 48 hours.
– After completing installation, to protect and maintain the flooring, waxing and coating should be conducted. It is also required to carry out maintenance daily and periodically.
